Budget 2022: Police to receive RM13mil to beef up Sexual, Women and Child Investigation Division (D11)


PETALING JAYA: RM13mil will be allocated to enhance the Police Sexual, Women and Child Investigation Division (D11).

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said the allocation included creating 100 new posts within the division.

Community awareness programmes on violence against women will also be implemented nationwide under Skuad Waja.

Tengku Zafrul was tabling the 2022 Budget in Dewan Rakyat on Friday (Oct 29).

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob earlier had said the Budget was drawn up to benefit all quarters in line with the Malaysian Family concept which assures that no one would be left out in the country’s recovery agenda after experiencing difficulties brought by the Covid-19 pandemic.
