PETALING JAYA: Free feminine hygiene kits will be given to young women in the B40 category.
Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz (pic) said that these kits would benefit some 130,000 youths nationwide, adding that the free kit would be provided monthly.
Tengku Zafrul, in tabling Budget 2022 in Dewan Parliament, also added that RM11mil would be allocated to subsidise mammograms and cervical examinations.
Tengku Zafrul was tabling the 2022 Budget in Dewan Rakyat on Friday (Oct 29).
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob earlier had said the Budget was drawn up to benefit all quarters in line with the Malaysian Family concept which assures that no one would be left out in the country’s recovery agenda after experiencing difficulties brought by the Covid-19 pandemic.
