SCHA Elinnea (pic) has revealed that she suffers from schizophrenia, Kosmo! reported.

The actress told the Malay daily that she had mental illness for a while and learnt how to manage it.

“I saw a doctor almost weekly after being diagnosed with schizophrenia, which came from my anxiety and depression.

“Before this I had suffered some mental health issues but it got worse, especially after I started living alone,” she said.

She explained that when she was out socialising, she would start feeling anxious and scared, and if she was alone she would feel that things were not right.

The 22-year-old has been seeking medical treatment and remains committed to pursuing her acting career.

“I have kept this a secret for so long and tried to appear strong, but in reality, I am ‘at war’ inside.

“This is something that I can’t hide anymore. I have to be honest and address the problem that I am facing,” she said.

Kota Kinabalu OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said the robbers ran off with the driver’s wallet and handphone on Friday.

The driver had picked them at Jalang Tanjung Lipat.

“When they arrived at the destination, one of the suspects pulled out a sharp weapon and pointed it at the driver’s neck, demanding that all valuables be surrendered.

“A struggle ensued before the robbers fled with the stolen items,” he said, adding that the driver was unharmed.
