Covid-19 Watch: 88 deaths including 26 BID cases recorded on Saturday (Oct 16)


PETALING JAYA: Another 88 Covid-19 deaths including 26 brought-in-dead cases were recorded on Saturday (Oct 16), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry’s CovidNow website, the current cumulative deaths due to the virus stands at 27,585 cases, of which 5,645 are BID.

It added that the current fatality rate due to Covid-19 is at 0.9% with an overall rate at 1.2%.

On Saturday, Malaysia recorded 7,509 new Covid-19 cases, the 14th consecutive day of daily cases below the five-figure mark.
