> Kedah police have warned members of the public who have yet to receive Covid-19 vaccine jabs against using fake vaccination cards or documents during checks, reported Sinar Harian.

Kota Setar OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Shukri Mat Akhir said action could be taken against those caught using fake documents under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act (Act 342).

“Individuals who are not vaccinated might attempt to use these methods to balik kampung.

“However, our compliance teams will conduct random checks to ensure that only fully vaccinated individuals are out in public.

“Four compliance teams and two other teams will be on duty daily to check supermarkets, restaurants and highway lay-bys,” he said.

> The body of a Myanmar man was found near a poultry farm longhouse in Kampung Perak in Sungai Petani, Kedah, reported Berita Harian.

The body of the 29-year-old cleaner, with slash wounds on his neck, was found by the farm’s supervisor at around 9am on Sunday.

Kuala Muda OCPD Asst Comm Adzli Abu Shah said police found a parang with bloodstains at the scene.

“The supervisor noticed something was amiss when he saw that the lights in the chicken coop were still on and the generator was running.

“He then found the body near a pond,” he said, adding that investigations revealed that two other Myanmar workers aged 21 and 26 had fled the kongsi.

ACP Adzli said one of the men had worked there for a month, while the other had been there for about 10 days.
