King arrives in Parliament to open first sitting of fourth session of 14th Parliament


KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has arrived to open the first sitting of the fourth session of the 14th Parliament Monday (Sept 13).

He arrived at Parliament Square at 10am and was welcomed by Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun and Senate president Tan Sri Rais Yatim.

Also on hand to welcome the King were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.

After that, the national anthem was played.

Owing to the wet weather, the brief welcoming ceremony was held inside the Parliment building.
