GEORGE TOWN: The Padang Tembak public market has been ordered closed starting Thursday (Sept 2) after nine positive Covid-19 cases involving traders, helpers and a public health assistant were detected.
Penang Island City Council (MBPP) said the market would only be allowed to reopen at a date which would be announced soon.
