Congrats on silver medal win and doing your best for Malaysia, Dr Wee tells Azizulhasni


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has congratulated Datuk Azizulhasni Awang for winning the silver medal at the men's keirin Tokyo Olympics final.

“Congratulations, Datuk Azizulhasni Awang.

“It is a silver medal for Malaysia.

“You have done your best for the country,” the Transport Minister said on his Facebook page on Sunday (Aug 8).

Dr Wee, the MCA president, also congratulated and thanked cyclist Muhammad Shah Firdaus Sahrom, as well as the entire Malaysian contingent for their performance in the Tokyo Olympics.

Azizulhasni took home the silver medal after he overtook Dutch world champion Harrie Lavreysen in the final. The gold medal went to Britain’s Jason Kenny.

Muhammad Shah was eliminated in Heat 2 of the quarter-finals.
