MCA, MIC sticking with BN decision to support Perikatan, say leaders

KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional component parties MCA and MIC will continue to support the Perikatan Nasional government as it would be irresponsible of them to resign just because of the Umno supreme council's decision to withdraw its support.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, standing in solidarity with 30 other BN MPs who support Perikatan, stated that MCA took on a responsibility to the people when it joined the Perikatan government.
