MPs, AG converge on Muhyiddin's residence after Umno bombshell

PETALING JAYA: Following Umno’s withdrawal of support for the Perikatan Nasional government, all eyes are now on Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

Media personnel began congregating outside Muhyiddin's house in Bukit Damansara shortly after Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said on Tuesday (Aug 3) evening that Umno had decided to retract the support of its MPs for the present Perikatan Nasional government.

Since then, vehicles believed to be ferrying several ministers, including Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, have been spotted entering the gated-and-guarded area.

Also seen entering was a vehicle believed to be ferrying Attorney General Tan Sri Idrus Harun.
