CHINESE Internet celebrity Grace Chow has a new man in her life, a year after dumping her boyfriend who had cheated on her, Sin Chew Daily reported.

“That’s right, we are in love!” she announced on a TV programme on July 31, referring to Luo Hao, who is the heir to a business empire.

According to news reports, Chow’s new beau who is six years her junior, has a net worth of T$4.3bil (RM650mil).

Her public admission crushed the hopes of some fans who wanted her to get back together with Taiwanese pop star Show Lo whom she dated for nine years.

In an explosive social media post in April last year, Chow, 32, accused Lo of sleeping with other female artistes.

She revealed that Lo, 42, would invite women to his hotel room whenever he was away on work trips and had brought women to their house when she was not around.

Lo has since made several public apologies for his behaviour.

> An oversupply of locally-grown durian in Penang is causing prices to plummet, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Owners of durian orchards claimed that they have had trouble transporting their fruits to other places, thus forcing them to sell them locally.

Sungai Ara Small Orchard Owners Association adviser Yu Tian Fu said they could still sell the more popular durian variants, of which the production cost is around RM10 per kg.

However, sellers are finding it harder to peddle the “nameless” types, which cost around RM4 to produce.
