Flashback #Star50: She's here!

IT was a birth that made international news. Born on July 25, 1978 in England, Louise Joy Brown is known as the world’s first “test tube baby”, conceived via in vitro fertilisation (IVF). Her birth was kept confidential initially.

According to the BBC, even her father’s first visit to see her at the hospital was “under the eye of police officers, who lined the corridor outside.”
