Covid-19: Penang CM in home quarantine after bodyguard tests positive


GEORGE TOWN: Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow has been ordered to quarantine himself at home after one of his bodyguards tested positive for Covid-19.

He said the order came from the state health department starting from Sunday (July 25).

In a Facebook post on Sunday (July 25) Chow said a Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) conducted on him on Friday (July 23) was negative.

Chow said he would undergo another test on Wednesday (July 28).

His last event was at Dewan Sri Pinang here where he visited a vaccination exercise for trishaw riders on Sunday (July 25) morning.
