Covid-19: 15,902 new cases, Selangor the highest with 7,351


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded a new record high of 15,902 new cases on Saturday (July 24), bringing the nation's cumulative total to 996,393 cases.

In a tweet on Saturday, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also said Selangor recorded the most infections with 7,351 cases.

This was followed by Kuala Lumpur (2,406 cases), Kedah (867) and Johor (804) as well as Sabah (712), Negri Sembilan (625), Melaka (631) and Penang (505).

Aside from these states, Kelantan (502), Perak (469), Pahang (406), Terengganu (267) and Sarawak (261) also recorded new cases.

The Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan recorded 59 and 30 new cases respectively, while Perlis recorded seven new cases.
