SOP violations: 65 factories, businesses and construction sites ordered to close

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 65 factories, business premises and construction sites were ordered to close for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) on Thursday (July 15), says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic).

The Deputy Prime Minister said inspections were conducted at 2,309 factories, 14,237 business premises, 833 construction sites and 322 workers' hostels.

"We have stepped up enforcement especially on factories and business premises.

"The government will not compromise in taking action against those who failed to adhere to the SOP.

"If any premises are still stubborn, we will order them to close," he said in a statement on Friday (July 16).
