Covid-19: Families can now register kids over 12 for vaccination on MySejahtera

PETALING JAYA: Families can now register their children for vaccination following the recent decision to start inoculating children over 12 years of age.

A check with the MySejahtera app showed that parents will now be able to add their children as dependants by clicking the “Add Vaccine Dependent” option under the “Vaccination” category.

Previously, the MySejahtera app only allowed families to register dependants who are above 18.

However, once registered as a dependant, the details of the individual cannot be registered on a different MySejahtera account.

The move to immunise children and teenagers comes after the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency’s (NPRA) recent approval for the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for children aged at least 12.

It is also in line with the fifth phase of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to begin immunising those in that age group by August.
