KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating a fight that apparently broke out at the Kuala Lumpur wholesale market on Monday (June 14).

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai said on Tuesday (June 15) that police were alerted to the matter after videos posted on social media went viral.

Investigations showed that the fight is believed to have occurred at around 4.30pm on Monday.

"The cause of the fight was a disagreement between two sides over the moving of vegetable containers.

"No weapons were used during the fight and an investigation paper has been opened under Section 160 of the Penal Code for committing affray, and for not complying with the set SOPs of the movement control order.

"The individuals involved have been identified and will be called for further investigation," he said.
