Khairy: Approximately 4.5mil people have registered for Covid-19 vaccination's second phase


PUTRAJAYA: Approximately 4.5 million people have registered for the second phase of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, says Khairy Jamaluddin.

He said that of this, 2,458,432 million of those registered were senior citizens.

The Programme's coordinating minister said that as of Monday (June 14) that 2,437,168 individuals have received and been given appointments for vaccination, of which 1,231,177 are senior citizens.

Khairy also said at a press conference on Monday that 13,789,735 people in total have registered for the vaccination programme.

“The total number of vaccine doses given to date is 4,490,270, with 1,357,966 people having received two doses," said Khairy, adding that more than 5 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been distributed nationwide.

He said that 1,333,800 doses of Pfizer vaccines will arrive between this week and early July.
