Joggers given nine compound notices for exercising at closed parks in Shah Alam

SHAH ALAM: The authorities have issued compound notices to errant joggers after they were found exercising in closed parks here.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Baharudin Mat Taib said in a statement that the nine compound notices were issued at two parks earlier Sunday (June 6) during a compliance check in Seksyen 7 and Seksyen 14.

"The operation was jointly conducted with the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA). Five people were issued compound notices at a park in Seksyen 7 and four in Seksyen 14.

"Jogging is only allowed at neighbouring parks around your respective housing area. Travelling over the 10km radius to jog in public parks is prohibited under the SOP," he said.
