Registering for the Astrazeneca vaccine: A step-by-step guide

PETALING JAYA: Need to know what to do when registering for the AstraZeneca vaccine?

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to register for the AstraZeneca vaccine at noon today (May 26) once registrations open. The website has been taken offline from 10am for updates, but will reopen at noon.

1. Head to www.vaksincovid.gov.my

2. Select “Apply Now”.

3. You will then be brought to the booking page.

4. Read the conditions, which are that a person must;

i. Have registered previously to be vaccinated through the MySejahtera app, online through the official website or through the National Vaccine Registration Hotline

ii. Reside in Johor, Penang, Selangor or the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and is 18 or older, and

iii. A person can only pick one location and one date

5. Fill up the form:

a. Enter your MyKad/Passport number.

b. Enter the numbers again to confirm.

c. Key in your birthdate.

d. If you are a MySejahtera user, enter your MySejahtera ID. Follow the steps below to find your MySejahtera ID on the app:

i. Launch the MySejahtera app on your phone.

ii. Tap on “Close” on the top right-hand side of your screen.

iii. Tap on “Profile” on the lower right-hand side of your screen.

iv. Your MySejahtera ID is displayed below your name.

e. If you are NOT a MySejahtera user, indicate that by clicking the box.

f. Enter your phone number and enter it again in the next field for confirmation.

g. Select your state.

h. Select your preferred vaccination centre and time.

i. Green boxes indicate slots are still available

ii. Grey boxes indicate all slots have been taken but you can still select them and you will be put on a waiting list.

When you are on the waiting list, you will be given an appointment date only when there a slot opens up because of no-shows or cancellations.

6. Click on “I am not a robot”

7. Click send and you will receive a message to confirm that you have successfully booked a slot to be vaccinated.

Note:

- Close your web browser after making your appointment.

- Details about your appointment will be sent within the next 48 hours via SMS and MySejahtera.
