PETALING JAYA: A total of 12 new community clusters linked to Hari Raya celebrations were identified on Tuesday (May 25) involving seven states, says Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

A total of 2,541 people from the clusters were screened with 470 testing positive for Covid-19, he added in a statement on Wednesday (May 26).

Dr Noor Hisham said that one person from the Jalan Tahir Manan cluster in Selangor passed away, while two cases from the Simpang Sahari cluster in Labuan are currently in the intensive care unit.

“It is now two weeks after Hari Raya Aidilfitri was celebrated by Muslims across the country, ” noted Dr Noor Hisham. It is expected that the number of cases will increase and will involve more states as well, ” he added.
