Baskets made by 86-year-old Rungus man in high demand due to social media buzz

KOTA KINABALU: An 86-year-old man's hobby of weaving traditional Rungus baskets known as "barazit" and "saging" has created buzz on social media after his children shared photos of them online.

Mongijal Majital has been stocking up these bamboo-woven baskets since the start of the movement control order in March last year and now has a small collection of over 30 baskets at his home in Sabah’s northern interior district of Matunggong.
