PETALING JAYA: Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has been called up by police to give his statement on his video addressing the death of detainee A. Ganapathy while in police custody.

He confirmed this on his Twitter page on Friday (May 21).

"Why am I under police investigation for demanding justice? I will give full cooperation to PDRM. They are not my enemy. They are my friends and allies. The few who disrespect the rule of law are the true enemies," the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) leader tweeted.

Muda, in a WhatsApp message to the media, confirmed that the MP would be at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters to give his statement on Saturday (May 22).
