IPOH: Road users on the northbound of Jalan Ampang-Jelapang were caught in a traffic jam for hours due to a flash flood near the slip road into Jalan Kuala Kangsar.
The flood was caused by a downpour that started at about 5pm on Wednesday (May 19).
The congestion is said to be as long as about 2.5km.
According to a Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman, they are currently monitoring the situation closely.
“Due to the heavy rain, several parts of the road were inundated," he said.
"We want to ensure that no victims are stuck between the flooded area.
