PUTRAJAYA: A joint press conference by Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah is scheduled at 5pm on Tuesday (May 11).
This is the first time the two government spokesmen for non-health and health-related matters are holding a press conference together.
The press conference is expected to announce further details on standard operating procedures after the government announced another movement control order.
For the past year, Ismail Sabri and Dr Noor Hisham have been holding separate press conferences where the senior minister updates the public on non-health related matters such as SOPs and enforcement of the various MCOs while Dr Noor Hisham will update the country on Covid-19 cases and health-related matters.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had announced that the whole country would be placed under MCO from May 12 to June 7 due to rising Covid-19 cases.
