Zunar says he was questioned by cops over his caricature of Kedah MB

PETALING JAYA: Zulkiflee Anwar Alhaque, popularly known as Zunar, says he was quizzed by the Kedah police over a caricature of Kedah Mentri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.

The cartoonist said he was being investigated under the Penal Code and the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

"It took two hours to take my statement and my mobile phone was confiscated," he tweeted on Friday (May 7).

The caricature of the Mentri Besar was about the decision not to declare Thaipusam a public holiday in Kedah – which is gazetted – but an "event holiday" instead.

The Vibes reported that a report was lodged against Zunar by Sanusi's senior special assistant, Nurul Amin Hamid on Jan 25.
