Covid-19: Another 13 schools ordered to close in Negri

SEREMBAN: Thirteen more schools have been ordered to close in Negri Sembilan after Covid-19 cases were reported there, says state education committee chairman Datuk Dr Mohamad Rafie Ab Malek.

Twelve schools will be closed for two days beginning Wednesday (April 28) and one from Thursday (April 29).

The 12 schools ordered to close today are SJKC Chung Hua, SMK Seremban 3, SJKC Pei Hua, SK Lavender Heights, SK Taman Seri Mawar, SM Teknik Tuanku Ja’afar, SJKT Convent (all Seremban), SK Senawang 3, SK Mantin, SMAP Labu, SMK Kg Baru Si Rusa (Port Dickson) and SK Kg Ladang Gemas.

SJKC Sino English in Seremban will be closed tomorrow and Friday.

Rafie said the closure is to allow the authorities to carry out a risk assessment, contact tracing and sanitisation works at the affected schools.

Prior to this, 12 schools had been told to close in the state due to Covid-19 cases.
