KUALA LUMPUR: Graphic designer Fahmi Reza has been released on bail.

His lawyer Rajsurian Pillai confirmed his release on Saturday (April 24).

"Fahmi was released at around 5.50pm Saturday, ” Rajsurian said when contacted.

Earlier Saturday, the courts granted the police one day for Fahmi's remand.

Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed confirmed that the remand was only for one day in a statement Saturday.

Previously, a police report was lodged against Fahmi for allegedly insulting the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah through his Facebook account.

It is believed that his arrest was due to his "Dengki ke?" Spotify playlist.
