Ismail Sabri: 72 compounded for SOP violations on Friday (April 16)

KUALA LUMPUR: Compounds were issued to 72 individuals for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) on Friday (April 16).

Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic) said not wearing face masks topped the offence list with 25 people penalised, followed by failure to record personal details before entering premises (21).

"The compliance operation task force performed 63,501 checks on Friday, including 4,307 supermarkets, 5,227 restaurants and 2,204 factories," he said in a statement on Saturday (April 17).

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said 1,346 individuals arrived in Malaysia on Friday and placed under mandatory quarantine.

"176,224 individuals have returned to Malaysia since July 24 last year.

"To date, 7,207 people are still undergoing mandatory quarantine, 167,570 have been discharged while 1,447 were sent to hospitals for treatment," he said.
