SMG moves on to new digital opportunities

PETALING JAYA: Dimsum Entertainment will wind down its operations by Sept 30, in a bold move to further propel Star Media Group Berhad (SMG) into embarking in new ventures.

The move follows a strategic review carried out by SMG’s key management team that has identified a number of new opportunities the group will explore to further strengthen its position in the industry.

The Dimsum team will be redeployed within SMG to work on various ongoing and new projects already in the pipeline.

SMG chief marketing officer of product and innovation Lam Swee Kim said that while it was a difficult decision to end this chapter, “we are excited to explore promising new ventures in the near future.”

“We are truly humbled by the support received over the years and it has been a privilege to serve our subscribers and customers.

"We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our partners who helped bring in great content and collaborated with us, ” she added.
