SEREMBAN: A 25-year-old doctor at a government hospital here has been scammed of more than RM290,000 after getting a call that accused him of not paying his income tax and being involved in money laundering and drug-related activities.
State Commercial Crime Investigation Department chief Supt Aibee Abd Ghani said the doctor received a call from a man claiming to be from the Inland Revenue Department on Feb 2 telling him he had RM38,000 in unpaid taxes.
