PUTRAJAYA: A meeting between the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will take place on Monday (March 22).

MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Azam Baki confirmed that the meeting will be held at the agency's headquarters here at 3pm.

"Yes, we have set the appointment date. I will be meeting Datuk Seri Anwar tomorrow," said Azam when contacted on Sunday (March 21).

Anwar had posted on his social media expressing his thanks to Azam for agreeing to meet him.

"I regard the fight against corruption and abuse of power as a serious matter, and require the support and cooperation of all, including the Opposition and the public," he said.

On Tuesday (March 16), Anwar said he would seek a meeting with the MACC to discuss the matter, stating that several PKR lawmakers have lodged reports with the police and the MACC as they had been allegedly intimidated to join Perikatan Nasional.
