Malayan tapir weighing 450kg caught in Kuala Pilah

SEREMBAN: A female Malayan tapir weighing about 450kg was caught by a team from the Negri Sembilan Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) after it entered a trap set up in Ladang Johol, Kuala Pilah.

State Perhilitan director Wan Mat Wan Harun said the trap had been set up since Nov 24 last year following complaints from farmers that the animal had been seen roaming in the area.
