Covid-19: 1,208 new cases, three fatalities bring death toll to 1,213

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,208 more Covid-19 cases on Monday (March 15), taking the country’s total infections to 324,971.

Selangor’s daily cases continue to show an improvement, although the state still has the country’s highest number of cases with 379.


Sarawak recorded the second-highest with 251 cases followed by Penang with 142.The Health Ministry also reported three more deaths due to the coronavirus, taking the country’s fatalities total up to 1,213.

Another 1,973 people have been discharged, which means 308,247 Covid-19 patients in the country have recovered to date.

There are 155 patients currently under intensive care.

Of that total, 70 are receiving ventilator support.

Active cases in the country have now gone down to 15,511.

There are also nine imported infections, while the rest are local transmissions.
