Covid-19: Death toll crosses 1,000 with 22 new fatalities, 2,998 new cases recorded


PETALING JAYA: The number of Covid-19 deaths has surpassed the four-digit mark with 1,005 deaths recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic, says the Health Ministry.

This comes as the country recorded 22 fatalities due to the coronavirus on Wednesday (Feb 17), including a 100-year-old local man from Selangor who was suffering from hypertension and asthma, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.
