Veteran air-cond technician in fatal fall

SEPANG: A mishap led to the death of an air-conditioner technician after he fell from the third floor of an apartment block.

Sepang deputy police chief Supt Mohd Noor Aehawan Mohammad told the media in a text message that the incident occurred on Monday (Feb 8).

"The victim, who was in his 50s, and his twin brother were installing an air-conditioner at an apartment in Jalan Bukit Puchong.

"While working there at around noon, the victim exited the unit via a window to remove the old air-cond unit there. Ten minutes later, the victim's brother heard a shout and by the time he went over he saw the victim on the ground floor, bloodied," he said.

A post mortem found that the cause of death was "multiple injuries consistent with a fall from height".

Investigations showed that the victim was an experienced technician, with 30 years in the field.
