Covid-19: Record 5,725 new cases reported, 16 deaths bring death toll to 733


PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 5,725 new Covid-19 infections on Friday (Jan 29), says the Health Ministry.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the country also reported 16 new Covid-19 fatalities, bringing the country’s death toll to 733.

The total number of people who have recovered from Covid-19 in the country so far is 157,722.

Active cases in the country now stand at 45,478.

In total, Malaysia has recorded 203,993 Covid-19 cases.
