Eateries allowed to operate until 10pm, says Ismail Sabri


PUTRAJAYA: Operating hours for restaurants and eateries have been extended till 10pm, says Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

This includes restaurants, hawkers, roadside stalls and other forms of services involving food.

"We have received requests from both businesses and the public to allow food outlets to operate longer hours.

"The National Security Council has agreed to allow food businesses to operate until 10pm during the movement control order.

"This new ruling will take effect on Friday (Jan 22)," he said on Thursday (Jan 21).

Ismail Sabri said operating hours for food delivery services were also extended until 10pm.

The government had initially allowed for food businesses to operate until 8pm during the MCO.
