Cabbie gets one day's jail, RM5,000 fine for bribing cop


KUALA LUMPUR: A 56-year-old taxi driver was sentenced to a day in jail and a RM5,000 fine by a Sessions Court here after he pleaded guilty to bribing a policeman RM50.

Beh Por Teik, 56, admitted to an alternative charge under Section 214 of the Penal Code after it was read out before Sessions Court judge Kamarudin Kamsun here on Tuesday (Jan 19).
