SHAH ALAM: Religious celebrity Da'i Syed is expected to face multiple charges over alleged sexual offences at the Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam courts on Thursday (Dec 10).

Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Fadzil Ahmat said he is expected to face charges for voluntarily committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature and using criminal force to outrage the modesty of a person at the Petaling Jaya Sessions Court.

"He is also expected to face charges for rape at the Shah Alam Sessions Court," he said in a statement on Thursday.

It was reported that another woman has lodged a police report on alleged sexual assault involving religious celebrity Da'i Syed.

The 26-year-old nurse, who works at a private hospital in Kuala Lumpur, claimed she was a victim of the 25-year-old man in December last year.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin was quoted saying on Dec 8 that the latest police report brings the number of reports lodged against the suspect to nine.

On Monday (Dec 7), the suspect, who is also a former reality television contestant, was remanded for five days in connection with two police reports on rape lodged against him in Petaling Jaya on Nov 29 and Nov 30.
