Girl, 8, injured after being flung from car in accident

KUALA LUMPUR: An eight-year-old girl was injured after she was flung from her car in an accident at the DUKE highway heading towards Jalan Tun Razak.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement department (JSPT) chief Asst Comm Zulkefly Yahya said the victim was in a car driven by her father when he lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a road divider at about 5.40pm last Friday (Nov 27).

"The impact of the collision sent the child out of the car window and she fell down below the flyover.

"The victim hit the roof of a car parked in front of a showroom along Jalan Pahang," he said when contacted Tuesday (Dec 1).

The victim was sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for treatment, he added.

"She suffered an injury on her left hip," he said.
