Covid-19: K-Avenue in Sabah under EMCO from Nov 22-Dec 5

PUTRAJAYA: The enhanced MCO will be enforced at K-Avenue, Megacity in Penampang, Sabah for 14 days beginning Nov 22, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic).

He said this is due to an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases recorded.

He said as of Nov 16,110 positive cases were reported.

“The National Security Council (NSC) special meeting has agreed to impose an enhanced MCO in the area which will take effect until Dec 5, ” he said on Friday (Nov 20).

The enhanced MCO will cover office premises, workers quarters and construction sites involving 400 people.

Ismail Sabri said the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for an enhanced MCO in Sabah applies, which includes allowing one person per household to leave to get essentials in shops located outside the lockdown area.

Sundry shops are allowed to operate from 6am to 6pm and wet markets are allowed to open twice a week from 6am to 2pm.

The minister also announced that enhanced MCO at Tanjung Teduh, Felda Sahabat in Lahad Datu, Sabah ends today.
