Man found stabbed to death in the middle of Jalan Bangsar


KUALA LUMPUR: A man was found dead with stab wounds at Jalan Bangsar early Thursday (Nov 19) morning.

The victim, in his 30s, was lying in the middle of Jalan Bangsar and his body was discovered at 5.38am.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin@Hilmi said the victim was discovered with no identification documents.

"We are still investigating the motive behind the attack and we are also tracking down the victim's next of kin," he said in a statement on Thursday.

The body has been sent to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for a post-mortem, he added.

The case has been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

ACP Zairulnizam urged anyone with information on the victim or has a missing family member to contact police at 03-22979222.
