Neelofa: Niqab is not for sale

HOST and actress Neelofa (pic) said she was not selling niqab through her hijab business Naelofar, reported Berita Harian.

Neelofa, who started wearing the niqab on Oct 15, said she needed to clear a misunderstanding with the public who viewed her donning a niqab as a strategy to promote a new collection.

“The niqab that I wear is only made for me and it is not for sale.

“I do not want people to have misunderstandings just because I wear the niqab, ” she said, sharing a session with Sara Rancak through a live broadcast in Shopee.

The 31-year-old also denied that the hashtag used to promote her mango-flavoured beverage business, #semaniscintapertama, was a hint at her relationship with Pencetus Ummah Riz or Haris Ismail.

Kerian OCPD Supt Mazuki Mat said that in the Tuesday incident, Nur Farah Dania Abd Rahman, 12, who lived in Tanjung Piandang, was said to be playing in the water ditch with seven other friends.

He said a nearby fisherman noticed two of the children in trouble in the water and he immediately jumped into the ditch to save them.

However, only one of them was rescued. He then asked for help from the villagers and they found the other victim unconscious not far from where they were playing at about 6.30pm.

“She was taken to the Tanjung Piandang health clinic where she was pronounced dead, ” said Supt Mazuki.
