JOHOR BARU: Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin has applauded the Federal Government’s commitment to prioritise the people’s welfare and prosperity through Budget 2021.
He said it was "a budget for all" and was holistic, showing the government’s dedication in trying to recover the impact of Covid-19 while focusing on the welfare of the people.
“The allocation of the Budget covers all aspects of welfare. This shows that the government is concerned about the plight of the rakyat in battling Covid-19.
“All kinds of reactions were given on the Budget. I view it as a budget for all that was drafted at a time when Malaysia is not at its best due to the global pandemic, ” he said in a statement on Saturday (Nov 7).
Khaled also called for a radical improvement in the implementation of the programmes announced during the tabling of the Budget.
“The public service sector needs to translate the Budget well to realise the government’s commitment towards Malaysians, ” he said.
He said he hoped the Budget received the support of all MPs despite differences in political beliefs for the benefit of all Malaysians.
