Mums bake cakes for frontliners

KOTA KINABALU: A group of mothers is bringing much needed cheer to healthcare frontliners in the Covid-19 battlefield with sweet treats. Calling themselves the Lovely Mum Charity Group, the group led by beautician Ice Loi, 45, started the initiative earlier this month, sending desserts to healthcare workers every Monday.

“We sent them cakes, desserts and cookies three times,” said the mother of two, who said in their maiden attempt, they only had 10 mothers coming together to bake some 125 pieces of cakes and desserts for Queen Elizabeth Hospital staff.
