KLANG: Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has called upon politicians to emulate the noble qualities and wisdom of Prophet Muhammad in uniting the masses.

A Maulidur Rasul message posted on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook timeline stated that Sultan Sharafuddin said politicians should follow these qualities to be united and fully support the current government’s efforts to overcome the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The people are faced with struggles due to the declining economy caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Therefore, His Highness wants all politicians to be united and strive to find the best ways to overcome this in order to ensure the people continue living peacefully, in prosperity and harmoniously,’’ according to the Facebook post on Thursday (Oct 29).

Sultan Sharafuddin has also decreed that unity, stability and well-being are important to ensure the nation’s continued development, strengthening and sovereignty.

In line with this year's Maulidur Rasul celebrations, the Ruler urged Muslims to appreciate and practise the teachings of the Al-Quran and As-Sunnah.

Sultan Sharafuddin also decreed for the teachings of Islam to be appreciated and practised as taught and guided by Prophet Muhammad.
