PETALING JAYA: Nilai will be placed under the conditional movement control order (MCO), with several localities in the district to be placed under the enhanced MCO from Wednesday (Oct 28) until Nov 10.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Yaakob said that this was due to the spike of Covid-19 cases there, especially among foreign workers.
While economic activities will be allowed to operate, all social activities are not allowed, said Ismail.
He added that Putra Point in Nilai will be placed under the enhanced MCO, with two workers dormitories there contributing to the spike of positive cases.
“This is to curb the spread of the disease, as well as to enable targeted contact tracing for 14 days, ” he said in his daily press briefing on Covid-19 on Monday (Cot 26).
