Freelance event organiser jailed six months, fined RM6k for punching fireman

KAJANG: A 33-year-old freelance event organiser who punched a firefighter in a video that went viral has been sentenced to six months in jail and fined RM6,000 by two magistrate’s courts here over the incident last week.

Kan Hong Kit was sentenced to a month in jail from the date of sentencing by magistrate Muhammad Noor Firdaus Rosli who accepted the accused’s guilty plea here on Tuesday (Oct 20).
