Media rights groups want access to Parliament for news portals too

PETALING JAYA: News portals should be allowed to cover the coming Dewan Rakyat meeting next month, say media rights groups.

National Union of Journalists Malaysia (NUJ) president Farah Marshita Abdul Patah said those in charge of Dewan Rakyat administration should review its decision of allowing only 15 media organisations to cover proceedings, and for it to include other media, particularly online news portals.
